MANOWAR TIL NORGE

VG kan i dag skilte med dagens viktigste nyhet - Manowar kommer til å spille på Norway Rock Festilval (8-12. juli).

Sist Manowar var i Norge var 23.11.2002 i forbindelse med Warriors of the World Tour. Nå, 6 1/2 år etter er de tilbake, og de har med seg ekte vikingmetall tilbake til landet der det oppsto.
Det er rart at en metallnasjon som Norge skal behøve å bli dirrigert tilbake til den rettvisne vei, men sånn går det når vi lar platesalg og popularitet styre bransjen.
Manowar er tilbake for å vise at det viktigste i musikkindustrien er fansen. For fansen til Manowar er ekstremt lojale til bandet og deres musikk. Det er fansen som har båret bandet frem, og Manowar er ikke sene med å erklære dette ved enhver anledning.

Manowar kommer også med ny skive i år - antakelig før festivalsommeren - men allerede ifjor sommer ble vi presentert med sangen "Die With Honor", som jeg antar kommer til å være på skiva. DWH går i samme bane som "Warriors of The World United", med en stødig trommetakt, og tøffe gitarer. Det er ikke utenkelig at "Die With Honor" blir tittelsporet på den kommende skiva, men vi har blitt overrasket før, og de kan gjøre det igjen.
Uansett har ekte metallfans to ting å glede seg over til sommeren. Ny skive og konsert på norsk jord... Det trengs bare én ting til for å gjøre Kinderegget komplett...
Vent litt.. Jeg har glemt å nevne at det i tillegg til skiva kommer en bok... Og et tv-spill!!!
Det ble mer enn et Kinderegg...

Kvinesdal kommer til å bli rocka ut, drekki ut, og pult ut... øh... ja...

I met some truly amazing people at this years festival.

Many of whom are very recent friends. But it felt like we had known each other for ages.

On second thought, maybe it was the alcohol?.... Heheheh
